What you are buying. A non-exclusive licence to reproduce one EdibleRank badge for one product on one ranking, for 12 months from the purchase date shown on your licence PDF. The badge states the product's position on the named ranking as published on the issue date. The position is editorial. It is not for sale and was not sold to you.
Where the badge can go. Retail packaging, point of sale, your own website and product pages, paid ads, social posts, trade show material and wholesale decks. Anywhere the licensed product is being sold or described.
Where it cannot go. Any product other than the licensed one, including other sizes, flavors or SKUs from the same brand. Any wording that says EdibleRank tested, endorsed or recommends the product beyond its ranking position. Any medical claim. Anything that alters the badge: colors, proportions, wording or logo. Reproducing the ranking text itself as advertising.
Your rules are yours to check. The licensee is responsible for its own state's cannabis advertising and packaging rules, for packaging pre-approval where the state requires it, and for health-claim rules. A ranking title such as "for Sleep" can read as a health claim once it is printed on a box, and whether your regulator allows it is a question for your compliance counsel, not for us. EdibleRank does not review packaging and gives no opinion on whether a badge is permitted in any market.
If the ranking changes. Rankings get re-reviewed. If your product moves or leaves the list after you buy, your badge stays valid until the expiry date on your licence. It is a dated statement and it stays true. You cannot renew for the following year unless the product is on the list at renewal. If the product is recalled, fails a published lab test, or the badge is used in a way these terms do not allow, the licence ends that day, with no refund.
Term and renewal. 12 months. No auto-renewal. A renewal is a new purchase and issues the next year's badge.
Payment and refunds. $499 per product per ranking, paid through Stripe, or in crypto on request. No refund once the badge pack has been downloaded. If you licensed the wrong product by mistake, email within 7 days and we reissue.
Liability. EdibleRank's liability under this licence is capped at the fee you paid for it. EdibleRank is not liable for lost sales, regulatory action, recalls, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the badge or from how it is used.
Ownership. The badge, the EdibleRank name and the logo stay the property of EdibleRank. The licence lets you use the badge. Ownership stays with us.
Governing law. This licence is governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute about it goes to the courts of Amsterdam.
